DC is overflowing with individuality if that makes sense. Aside from the hippies and revolutionists DMV has artists. Regretfully overshadowed by those who think they are but brilliant in silence. The best of them let their work speak for itself. Victor Ware is a friend I have known for several years. He's helped me grow as an artist through beats as VRS and designing The Recess Mixtape cover. He'll be moving on to bigger and better things soon and I wish him well.

Been following her career for a minute as most of the DMV has. Ra the MC is the real deal. Ask around and it will be confirmed. Fuckin with her mixtapes heavy. She got flow and a dope singing voice she seldomly uses but you can't miss it. Her latest project so rightfully titled "Heart of A Champion" is buzzin right now. Make sure you take a listen.

Rappers making a difference again. The spotlight is really on MV Bill. A native Brazillian rapper thats been doing his best to keep youth out of the drug trade in Brazil. Mos Def is jus being the legendary rapper he is and vibing with dude. Visiting diff community centers and hosting live concert. Caught my eye because Mos Def made the attempt to reach out and show the difficulties these kids are going through and how MV Bill is using his talent to help his community

So Jay got an autobiography out which is definitely bout be the topic of conversation for the next couple months. The Jigga man droppin knowledge and detailing life lessons learned in text. Above all that the marketing campaign for the book is intense. Bing and Droga5 bombed the world with images of various pages from the book. I gotta say. Shits dopee.

I don't usually listen to the radio. Not just because its repetitive but nothing on it is new. But my homie AP put me on this station in Boston. Not to far from campus. Their selection of music is way deeper than your average urban radio or those that claim to be. Thirty min went by, then an hour and I was still vibin. It didnt take long before I heard DMV.
Radio is still worth something.

Yea so I'm blogging again only to inform you bout my folks M.I.T and they're knew single "Jah Ballin". We got John Wall in the District know and it seems he may be the solution. I seen some of the summer league games and home boy be moving. Personally I think it's too soon to say but why not indulge in the hype? O yea and I had a lil cameo in video too. I just happen to be in Georgetown when they were filming. Enjoy the vid.Peace.
Just got the CD's yesterday all nice and pressed up. I'ma be out promoting the mixtape with free shit. I'll be doing shows all summer. Got one more final to take before I'm off campus and back home(Accounting). Freshman year went by soooo fast. The Recess Mixtape is doing well. I think my first year of the rest of my life was an overall success.

not to sound overconfident but this sh!t is hot. Yes, it is commercial but its for the general masses who you really have to serve in order to make it. But don't get it wrong I WILL NEVER SELL OUT. This is to show A&R's and Rec Labels I can grab the crowd. The Ep includes 3 songs and the album image. The cover is awesome all of them were done by my friend VRS. Another upcoming producer. We definitely gonna be working together over the summer. We wanted to use the cover with me on the lawn of the capitol and monument. Unfortunately it didn't work out that way but its all good. Recess will be for sale on Itunes, Amazon, CD Baby, DigStation. Hopefully it'll be up there soon. My producer Redds is handling that. Be on the look out for shows like 50 Mics and other stuff trust me you'll hear it. Really tho guys give it a chance to hear something new. You'll be surprised. Peace
